Margaret Wakeley

MARGARET WAKELEY has entertained audiences in Europe, New York and Los Angeles with honeyed vocals on a unique blend of pop standards and contemporary gems. Her newest CD,"Perfect Strangers," pairs songs that seem to offer incompatible sentiments, but meet to embrace the multi-faceted joys and agonies of love and life. Margaret's previous CD, "Quality Times," was released by Original Cast Records and earned wide critical praise. She also recorded two albums of her original songs. She currently works in commercial voice-overs, narration, and performs on stage in venues near her Central New York home.

Based first in Atlanta, then Los Angeles and Seattle. MARGARET WAKELEY now calls Ithaca, New York home. 

Singing regionally , her performances have been described as pure and beautiful high-class nostalgia. 
She has released two CDs, Perfect Strangers and Quality Times in addition to two vinyl albums of original songs. 

Margaret appeared on the Hangar Theatre stage in the cast of The Chalk Circle, and created and
performed three cabarets for their 
CABARETC series. 


She has worked over 35 years doing commercial and narration voice-overs for clients such as the Corning Museum of Glass, Cornell's Lab of Ornithology, and the American Art Museum at the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C. .

She is currently on the webteam of A Network for Grateful
 - as the Program & Community Development Coordinator.
